AfEI's Mentorship School Clubs provide basic-school pupils with practical environmental education and opportunities to participate in conservation, climate adaptation and school-greening activities.

The Mentorship School Clubs help pupils develop environmental knowledge and practical conservation skills. Through school-based learning and activities, pupils explore how environmental decisions affect their schools, households and communities.
What the clubs do
- Mentorship — facilitators introduce pupils to natural-resource protection, environmental stewardship and climate adaptation.
- Practical learning — pupils learn about compost preparation, tree planting, water conservation and other environmentally responsible practices.
- School greening — participating clubs undertake activities that contribute to greener and healthier school environments.
Why the clubs matter
Early environmental education can help young people develop responsible habits and apply what they learn within their schools, households and communities. The clubs provide a continuing structure for practical learning rather than a single awareness activity.
Programme ambition
AfEI aims to extend the school-club initiative to additional schools as resources and partnerships become available.
Ways to participate
- Sponsor the establishment of a school club.
- Volunteer as a mentor.
- Donate approved materials for environmental activities.
